[Personality]

"I'm the best thief in the business, not the most famous."

Kasumi prides herself on being secretive. There aren't that many people in the galaxy that knows what she looks like; and she plans to keep it that way. Only people that interest her are able to speak to her face-to-face under normal circumstances but there are still times when things don't go as planned. Sometimes it ends up being a good thing, and sometimes it ends up being a bad thing.

I say that it's sometimes a good thing because that's how Kasumi met Keiji. She had been sent to steal a painting, and saw him making off with it. She tackled him to the ground, and that's how they ended up meeting. She still has the painting -- it's in the Normandy -- and she speaks of it fondly if asked about it. She's pretty sentimental when it comes to him, especially now that he's dead. Kasumi treasures everything that reminds her of him, even the graybox that she stole back. When she looks through it, he makes the plea to her to keep herself safe and destroy it because of the information it contained. But she didn't want to, as that would mean that his memories of their time together would be destroyed along with the information. If it meant her staying off the grid (as much as she was already, or more so), she was willing to so long as she didn't have to erase those memories.

"I do what I do for the love of it."

Maybe that's another reason why she refers to herself as the best in the business, and not the most famous. Though the perks of stealing are good sometimes, she does it because she loves it, not because she wants the fame. Instead, actually doing the job is what gives her the thrill -- and she gives herself some trophies from them as well. She has several things on the Normandy that she keeps, relics that might be silly (such as books, which she tells Shepard to not laugh at), a rose and a bust that she was dared to steal. All of which that she has has a story behind them, including another painting that a girl she had saved had given her.

Kasumi is someone who is always monitoring others, at all times. She mentions to Shepard in the game that she always knows what's going on in the ship, and proves as much if she's spoken to. She gossips with Shepard about things that're going on in the ship, including Shepard's own love life. For being such a secretive person, she's...not very considerate of others' privacy. Watching people and keeping tabs on them fascinates her just as much as stealing.

Despite being a criminal, if Kasumi does choose to open up to someone she's very talkative. As mentioned before, she's a big gossip. But she'll talk about other things too -- things she likes, as well as run commentary on missions that she's taken on. Even though she steals things, they are sometimes for a good reason. For instance, taking a child away from slavers. When she talks about it she tells Shepard that she "wasn't about to let that happen" and recalls fondly about how cute she was and how she loved watching her work. She's also disturbed on innocents being killed and hurt.

"High pressure tanks. Think our enemies are allergic to having their asses burned off?"

When brought on missions, she has a very odd sense of humor. Sometimes she attempts to crack jokes to ease the tension, though they fall kind of flat. For one, when in the Reaper ship, she mentions that it could be worse than to be locked into an abandoned ship, and that there could be rats. (Surprise! There were Husks -- which are 10000000000x worse.) She is always scoping out things that might be of use to her later, making comments here and there that different items would be worth something one day. She even makes a comment once on a mission that a knife looks like it would suit her, and that she might like one.

Kasumi is also a smart person -- which kind of goes hand in hand with what she does. She's good with planning things, such as planning out every detail for an ID for Shepard to get into Hock's party. It was something she'd been planning for a long time, and even though things didn't go her way she was able to quickly improvise for it. It doesn't take her much to figure out how to get past the security that Hock set up, and directs Shepard into getting everything necessary for it.

Overall, Kasumi might not be what someone expects when they think of a thief. She has a big heart to those she gets close to, and is overall a friendly person. However, if someone were to get on her bad side...it's not very pretty.

powers are here. In addition to that, she is extremely agile, able to infiltrate places easily (for the most part), hack, and figure out a way through any security system.

Her weapons of choice are heavy pistols and submachine guns. She also has an item called a graybox that is installed into her brain that stores memories and information that she can recall at will.

If you could go back home, would you? Why or why not?
Saying yes would imply that I have a home to go back to, which I don't. But I'm not used to being grounded to one place.

Would you consider yourself a power hungry individual?
Not particularly.

You discover someone stalking you. Do you call the police or deal with it yourself?
Police don't tend to like me. I can handle it.

You're dirt poor and your family is starving. You have a chance to steal bread. Do you: a) ignore it and get a job, b) steal it anyway because you know you won't get caught, c) get caught but break out of prison anyway, d) steal it and then hide from the creepy cop that keeps stalking you, e) don't steal because stealing is wrong :(. Explain why you chose that option.
I steal it, of course -- and I won't get caught. They won't even notice I was there. Why? People have to eat.

Would you prefer being the stalker, or the one being stalked? And what would you do?
If I were to be stalked, they'd have to find me first. And I don't like the term "stalk" on my part; I prefer the word "monitoring". As for how...let's just say I'm good at what I do.

How is space?
You never run out of information to gain. And, well, more diverse races means they have more interesting things.

It was inconvenient, in a lot of ways, that Kasumi couldn't leave this world. She wasn't used to being grounded to one place for so long, and to be honest it was starting to bug her. It wasn't like the Normandy was here to just hop on and leave. And she didn't have her things with her, only the stuff she had came with.

But even though she was inconvenienced so much, she wasn't the type to dwell on it. While she was here, she might as well pick up with the things she'd been doing before. Which meant watch the network, place her eyes and ears everywhere, and scope out potential trinkets she would like to liberate. Not that many of these might have the same value to her as her other items on the Normandy, but she'll get back to it one day. At least, what the information she'd gathered told her.

Now that she knew at least the basics, she was going to get to the part that really interested her; taking the pulse of Somarium. The networks did cut her job in half, but at the same time, not everything would be broadcasted on there either. So that meant she needed to find the "hubs" of this place that would lead her to all the best information on the inhabitants. She could even start her own collection here, though she might be "waking up" at any moment.

Still, it would be something to do.

On first glance, it seemed as if many people passed by the fountain and the lake. She made sure to remember these places -- and the things she'd heard thus far wasn't too shabby either.

Right now, she was sitting cross-legged on the fountain, invisible to the population as she watched everyone pass by. It seemed like there were a lot of newcomers around this time, because there were many who passed by, asking their Dreamberry devices what was going on. This was how she had gained the initial information on this world. The rest had taken some digging, but she didn't mind.

If nothing was challenging, she'd get bored pretty fast.
